The Plastic Surgery Section of VISN 8 Veterans Health System is seeking a board eligible or board-certified Plastic Surgeon to join the practice. We are looking for individuals trained in general plastic surgery. Hand fellowship is helpful, but not required. Pathology routinely seen and treated are elective/urgent/emergent hand, skin cancers, breast reductions, breast reconstructions, eyelids/brows for visual field defects, sept-rhinoplasty for nasal obstruction, facial trauma. This position is located at the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System in Gainesville, FL. The Physician (Plastic Surgery) duties consist of but are not limited to the following: Consults, minor procedures, returns, post op appointments Required to travel between the main campus and the outlying sites of care as needed where plastic surgery services are provided. Supervise plastic surgery residents and Supervise plastic surgery residents and fellows, general surgery residents, medical students, nursing staff, and ARNP's on site. Expected to be an active participant in strategic and tactical planning process.
