These positions with the Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks (VHSO) are located at Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Springfield, MO. Incumbent will demonstrate sound techniques in nursing care procedures and basic care of the acutely ill and chronic patients in all areas of VHSO's health system. This position will support the Federal Government's response to Covid-19. THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION, NOT TO EXCEED ONE YEAR. Duties include but are not limited to: Screens all recipient's pre-vaccine for potential concerns as identified by facility guidelines. Educates recipient and administers vaccine as indicated. Documents vaccine administration for potential side effects and refers for additional assessment/care as required. Collaborates effectively with all disciplines regarding patient care. Maintains compliance with various Isolation Precautions and Infection Control Guidelines. Recognizes the need for and initiates action in emergencies. Demonstrates understanding of the patient's chart, medical history, and nursing plan of care. Communicates appropriately about the provision of care. Accepts and supports established Medical Center policies and procedures. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM. Financial Disclosure Report: Not required.
