This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. Job duties include: Clinical expert and consultant: reviews quality of care, conducts regular rounds, case reviews, chart reviews, etc. Leads performance improvement activities under the direction of the ADNPCS (Nurse Executive) and engages staff in PI Identifies educational needs of staff and ensures that these needs are addressed. Has an integral role in supporting and facilitating student nurse clinical experiences, as well as orienting and supporting new staff. Provides skilled back-up to the ED and ICU Responder/resource for codes and other medical emergencies Coordinates transfers/admissions Actively develops and manages collaborative partnerships with physicians and other clinicians Provides management of all resources, including staffing and supplies Manages ED resources (staff) during WHEN hours, to maximize utilization of staff throughout the medical center. Responsible for staffing on a continual basis (24/7), validating data used for the staffing methodology process, and working with Nurse Managers to identify and share resources Coaches staff, deals with employee conduct and performance issues, completes recurring reports and contributes to performance evaluations in a timely manner Participates on service and medical center committees and task forces to improve nursing practice and patient care.
