POSITION SUMMARY
Single departmental function supervision and/or shift supervision in accordance with hospital policy. Responsible for the daily administration of tasks, scheduling and problem solving related to assigned areas. Accountable for supporting the ongoing development and productivity of the Diagnostic Imaging Department and maintaining the quality of care within the Diagnostic Imaging Department. Assists the Director with operational planning and provides daily work direction to achieve department level of care and organizational objectives. Contributes to budget development and assists with achieving budgetary objectives. Responsible for coordinating and monitoring quality activities within the department. Assists the Director to maintain policy and procedures for regulatory compliance. Position is responsible for approving timekeeping, employee evaluation, meeting applicable regulatory standards, approving supply orders and department strategic planning.

Qualifications:
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION: Completion of JRCERT approved formal program in Radiologic Technology.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Five years Radiology experience in a hospital environment.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: One year supervisory experience.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Currently Certified and Registered in Radiography R.T.(R)(CRT). CPR.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills necessary to understand oral and written instructions stated in radiological and medical terms and to exchange information with patients and staff.
