Serves as resource for all patient placements within the hospital.
Maintains a professional, collaborative and congenial rapport with internal and external contacts.
Makes all patient placement decisions in accordance with patient diagnosis, appropriate unit criterion, patient acuity and patient location.
Initiates, promotes and/or participates in interdisciplinary collaboration regarding patient placement.
Identifies needs and operational improvement opportunities to improve patients’ access and bed turnaround.
Supports and promotes excellence in customer/guest relations.
Supports, promotes and participates in community service activities.
Serves as a single point of contact for all patient placements within the hospital.
Maintains communication with referring physicians and transferring hospitals regarding anticipated bed availability or access delays.
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
Graduate of a school of nursing
Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse
Bachelorâ™s or masterâ™s degree in Nursing (Preferred)
Job Summary:
The (Logistics) Patient Placement Coordinator - Evening is a professional registered nurse who has the responsibility to plan, prioritize, organize, direct and control all admissions and transfers between nursing units and hospitals for the AdventHealth Orlando. Acts as a liaison between referring hospitals, physicians, offices, and nursing department on issues pertaining to the placement of all patients.
