Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified Hematologist and Medical Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary Gastrointestinal Program. Our goal is to create and sustain a best-in-class cancer treatment and research program that produces good outcomes for patients, is efficient and effective, respects and includes our community partners and creates a desirable work place for staff and faculty. We have seven active multidisciplinary disease teams, each including medical, surgical, radiation, radiology, pathology, genetics and supportive care experts and are in the process of expanding our Cellular Therapy Program. Building a robust clinical practice, providing direct patient care, and participating in translational research are key responsibilities of this position. The multidisciplinary teams work closely with the leadership of the Oncology Service Line and St. Joseph’s to ensure the growth of the comprehensive patient care programs as well as the implementation and growth of the translational and clinical trials programs. This physician will report to the Associate Chief Medical Officer for Oncology Physician Services and work collaboratively and effectively with the disease-site oncology multidisciplinary teams, hospitalists, the VP, Oncology Services, administrative team members, and all other staff who support cancer patients and cancer services in the outpatient and inpatient settings. - Arizona Medical License (or ability to obtain)
- Board certified in specialty
- Evidence of successful leadership/management experience
- Clinical trial experience
- Teaching experience
- Acceptable references from supervisor, peer, and subordinate; from a registered nurse; and potentially from a research mentor
