We are a multisystem progressive care unit (PCU), so we see everything when it comes to our patients. From pre-cardiac surgery to gastrointestinal procedures, intensive care unit step-downs to respiratory patients—we see them all!
As a PCU, we can start cardiac and insulin drips. We also care for patients with traches, work up chest pain and stroke population. It is a great unit to get a solid foundation of nursing skills in all the body systems!
Many of our nurses participate in the Professional Excellence Program, which is a program that helps further a nurse’s clinical skill and experience, as well as their opportunities for growth.
