Performs ultrasound procedures including limited and complete ultrasounds, ultrasound component of the biophysical profile, Doppler flow studies and fetal echocardiography.
Completes temporary ultrasound reports in ultrasound recordkeeping computer system and patient charting.
Assumes responsibility for rotating twenty-four-hour on-call for weekends and holidays, plus on-call for weekdays after regular working hours.
Conducts multidisciplinary case review on each patient with nurses, genetic counselors and perinatologists.
Assists and educates students, new perinatal ultrasonographers and other staff members who need assistance.
Ensures rooms are stocked with supplies and have required supplies readily available for procedures.
Acceptable certification or graduation from an accredited school of ultrasonography.
Demonstrates familiarity with AIUM standard OB exam and ultrasound equipment.
