Through advanced professional nursing practice, the educator supports the goals of the patient care division at EMC by advancing the provision of quality patient care. The educator assumes leadership roles in clinical practice, education, research and consultation with the hospital and community. The educator is responsible for the provision and coordination of orientation and training of designated ED nursing staff. The educator assists the ED Director with competency development and implementation. The educator provides leadership by delegating and working cooperatively with other personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice. Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Education/Training: Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program with a minimum of a BSN At least 3 years of ED RN experience Registration, Certification and or Licensure Required: Licensure to practice in the State of California Current ACLS, PALS, MICN within 2 years, CEN within 1 year & TNCC within 6 months
