The Assistant Nurse Manager position reports to the Nurse Manager and the Director of Emergency Services. This position is responsible for assessing patient flow, triage, wait time to be seen by MD or mid-level providers, and other indicators to identify compliance to standards or Q.I. opportunities during their assigned shift. Assesses the needs of the Emergency department and reports any deficiencies to Nurse Manager and/or Director. This position is also responsible for supervising, coordinating and guiding the activities with nursing staff members; and implementing the philosophy, goals and standards of care of the Emergency Department.
Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
Current license in the state of Florida
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, certifications and CPI card. Fundamental mathematics.
Verbal and written English skills.
3 - 5 years Emergency Department experience preferred.
Charge Nurse and /or management experience.
