Nemours is seeking a Practice Site Administrator (FULL-TIME), to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.
Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Children’s Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.
In collaboration with the Operational VP Florida Administrator and the Chief Medical Officer, the Practice Administrator is responsible for the direction, management and coordination of all multi-site, multi-Specialty Nemours Children’s Clinics for attaining goals and objectives set forth by the Nemours organization. The position is responsible for using appropriate leadership style and interpersonal skills to build and maintain a cohesive leadership team and facilitate completion of team goals. The Site Practice Administrator serves as the lead administrator for the development and implementation of improvement strategies leveraging lean leader principles related to access to care and outstanding service and operational performance. The position is also responsible for participating in departmental, hospital and enterprise-wide programs for patient growth, access, service excellence, continuous process improvement, quality assessment, and all other efforts aimed at achieving Nemours True North goals and strategic business objectives. The Practice Department Directors will report to the Practice Administrator to ensure consistency in operational performance and achievement of organizational goals throughout Central Florida.
Participates in the hospital and practice joint strategic planning efforts.
Participates in growth strategy development and deployment.
Participates in Enterprise True North goal cascades.
Translates Nemours True North goals to the unit level to encourage understanding by all associates.
Management of Operating Performance.
Oversees design, delivery and quality of programs and services.
Ensures that operating policies & procedures and affiliation agreements meet with compliance, legal,, OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
Effectively partners with leadership throughout Central Florida and the Enterprise to transform the family/patient experience with a focus on improving patient access and demonstrating leadership in optimizing value-added processes utilizing continuous improvement techniques.
Maximizes patient capture and retention rates.
Ensures all continuous improvement strategies and tactics are executed throughout Central Florida physician operations in an efficient and effective manner to optimize results.
Lead coordination of clinical and operational standard work processes and workflows.
Ensures practice policies and procedures are being followed consistently at all sites.
Collects and analyzes evaluation data that measures the success of the Practice’s operations against industry benchmarks and refines or changes programs, procedures, and/or policies in response to that information.
Ensures that departments are staffed with properly skilled and trained personnel, which also informs the hiring process. Makes decisions regarding employment, performance ratings, compensation, promotions, transfers, disciplinary action, and terminations for responsible departments.
Prepares and conducts performance evaluations. Develops and maintains an effective organizational structure designed to facilitate departmental goals and maximizes the utilization of manpower.
Provides operational execution support to department directors when launching a new practice or partnership to ensure consistency of performance that aligns with Nemours standards.
Ensures that operating policies & procedures and affiliation agreements meet with compliance, legal, OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
Provides prompt, thorough, and accurate information to keep the Operational VP Florida Administrator and the Chief Medical Officer appropriately informed of the Practices’s operating results.
Develops effective working relationships with practice and hospital administrators and managers.
Management and Financial Performance
Provides Practice Administrator level leadership and accountability for strategic business units that affect financial pillars of the organization.
Guides development and monitoring of implementation of the Central Florida Physician Practice budget.
Utilizes financial and operating information to achieve organizational goals.
Manages operating units under scope of responsibility to ensure strong financial stewardship.
Organization and Administration of Resources To Support Delivery of Safe, High Quality Patient Care.
Utilizes the results of satisfaction surveys to make improvements impacting patient satisfaction.
Utilizes Plan-Do-Check-Act for daily problem solving.
Encourages a culture of safety awareness by creating a safe environment for problem identification and by communicating learnings to others.
Monitors all entry points of the system, reports on trends, and drives the creation of strategies approved by the management team to ensure targets are met. Effectively communicates access improvements throughout the organization.
Engages families and associates at all levels in developing, vetting, and implementing ideas relative to improving access and revenue cycle performance.
Acts as a consultant to practice and hospital administrators to ensure patient access best practice is being applied consistently throughout the organization to ensure optimal results.
Acts as a liaison/consultant within all areas of Nemours Central Florida and affiliate sites. Promotes and maintains excellent patient and employee relations
Master's Degree in Management/Business/Hospital Administration/ Health Care/ Nursing required.
Minimum of five (5) + years' experience required.
Demonstrated progressive management experience in ambulatory physician practice and/or hospital operations.
Previous experience working in a LEAN system preferred.
