Nemours is seeking an Executive Assistant Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office, FULL-TIME, to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.
Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Children’s Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.
This position assists the GME team members by providing administrative support. Handles situations requiring knowledge of the overall function of the area of responsibility, the overall organization's mission, structure, and culture. Typical duties includes setting up meetings including meeting agendas; preparation of correspondence reflecting the wishes of the department and knowledge of the functions. May also be assigned special projects.
Provides administrative support for GME administration.
Manages calendar for GME administration and arranges travel as needed.
Initiates and maintains organizational memberships for all GME programs.
Provides data management for ACGME accredited fellowship programs as mandated by ongoing ACGME program requirements.
Coordinates all GME meetings and act as a scribe during the meetings.
Onboard internal fellows. Also onboard external residents and fellows.
Coordinate faculty development events for the GME office.
Provide notification of visiting residents and fellows to NCH faculty members.
Order equipment for NCH residents and fellows (lab coats, scrubs, i.e.)
Prepares reports and presentations.
Maintains records for budget and other activities such as purchase orders and accounts payable requests, travel records, confidential reports. Prepares expense reports for travel and meetings.
Represents the department in dealing with both internal Nemours customers and external contacts. Answers questions or deals with problems independently as well as determines who to refer problems to. Keeps leaders informed about issues.
High School Diploma required. Associate's Degree preferred.
Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years' experience as an Executive Assistant required.
Proficiency in standard software applications including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point and MS Outlook.
Strong organizational skills required.
Must be able to work independently and think creatively.
Must have the ability to work well with others.
Good communications skills and regular attendance are required.
