Nemours is seeking a Software Support Assistant (Clinical Apps - Inpatient), FULL-TIME, to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.
Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Children’s Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the area’s only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Children’s Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout.
The Software Support Assistant will work with the management team of the Information Systems Department to support the various software products that support the enterprise in meeting the diverse needs of the organization. This position will be supporting the various IS analyst positions which will allow them to focus on the analytical requirements that they have received formal training to accomplish.
The Software Support Assistant will work closely with the Application Analysts and operations to provide computer-related development and maintenance activities meeting quality standards.
Support IS analysts in daily support and maintenance of various applications.
Process system requests within established service levels.
Assist in call cycles including technical, operational, and department meetings.
Achieve proficiency in designated applications for support.
Develop an understanding of business needs supported by the currently used and acquired systems used by Nemours to manage its revenue and expense cycles.
Respond to questions from the organization regarding current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs. Reviews requested system changes, as assigned, for workflow and standard business practice impacts and communicates findings.
Produce reports, timelines, and graphics using advanced functions of a personal computer.Creates reports from existing databases to satisfy user requests, data sampling, project analysis, or testing verification.
Monitor and audits the use and workflow of the revenue and expense cycle systems.
By reviewing currently published workflows, system build documentation, work instructions, and published Standard Business Practices, maintains a high-level of familiarity and understanding of these elements of our revenue and expense cycle systems.
Build effective relationships to foster the concepts of continuous improvement with operating sites.
Identify and propose solutions for implementation barriers
High School Diploma required.
Ability to collect and analyze usabilty information.
Creative problem solver.
Ability to interpret and present findings in a timely and effective fashion.
Outgoing and confident: comfortable interacting with associates and patient families.
Self-starter that does not require task-level management.
