Reporting to the Clinical Manager and the Director of Emergency Services, the ER Charge Nurse is a management position responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and providing quality patient care in the department and pursuant to the position accountabilities set forth below. He/She is a facilitator for efficient patient flow and throughput in the department and improves overall productivity of staff members by maintaining smooth and efficient organization of the department. In collaboration with the Manager and Director of Emergency Services, he/she helps develop and implement goals to improve patient outcomes.
Current CA RN license, ACLS, BLS and PALS certification and nonviolent crisis intervention certification.
