Acts as the primary secretarial resource for staff members of the nursing unit. Directs communication and patient information within the nursing unit. Enters required information in the Order Entry System and other necessary computer databases. Assists in ordering supplies and other duties to ensure smooth functioning of the unit on a daily basis. Accurately maintains department logs and data as required.
. High School degree or equivalent preferred.
Previous secretarial experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Basic computer skills preferred.
