The ED Tech Per Diem Float DMC Detroit staff will work out of multiple DMC facilities. Facilities include DMC Childrenâ��s, DMC Harper University/Hutzel Womenâ��s, DMC Huron Valley-Sinai, DMC Huron Valley-Sinai, DMC Receiving, DMC Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan, DMC Sinai-Grace, DMC University Laboratories.
Program requirements include:
Employees must be willing to work across all DMC and Tenet facilities in their respective market.
Employees are required to work a minimum of two (2) total shifts per month, one (1) weekend shift per month, and one (1) holiday per year, (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas)
The ED Tech I is a member of the emergency department patient care services team with primary responsibilities for technical, multi-skilled direct and indirect patient care activities. The ED TECH I is assigned to work under the supervision of a registered nurse who delegates tasks based upon patient needs and ED Tech I skills and scope of practice.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED.
Graduation from a school of practical nursing ...OR...
Completion of one of the following:
A Certified PCA/PCT Program
A Certified Nurse Assistant Program or equivalent training.
A Medical Assistant Program.
An EMT Program
A phlebotomy training program
With, six (6) months direct patient care experience, preferred
