The Registered Nurse/RN in this role is responsible to function as a part of an interdisciplinary team as an expert clinician and decision maker on application of resources required for patient care involving a crisis or emergent situation. The Registered Nurse will determine the appropriate level of care in cases of emergency or emergent/critical changes involving the patients condition, respond and provide direction on priorities in time of surge, consult and serve as the liaison between the Staff Nurse & Physicians.
A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
5 years of related work experience required with extensive and varied critical care and/or emergency department experience
Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.
Current BLS and ACLS required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Consistently demonstrate a level of skill and knowledge appropriate for their position.
Demonstrate the ability to think beyond the present situation to anticipate, predict and resolve potential issues before the problem occurs.
ATLS/CCRN certification preferred.
